My name is Cassi, I am 23 years young :). I am from Bombay, India but came to Maine when I was very young. Since high school I have worked with a wide range of different ages children and also in different child care settings. I have worked with children with special behavioral needs; such as ADD, ADHD, or ODP, for a couple years, until I graduated college. I really enjoyed this line of work, because I felt like I was really helping these children. I attained my AS degree in Early Childhood Education, and right after college I was offered a job in a children's learning center. I worked with children 6wks to 5 years of age. I enjoy all age groups, but my favorite are infants and children in pre-k. I currently work at the University of Maine with infants, ages-6 weeks to 18 months. I love my job! I am completing my degree at UMO. With my bachelors degree, I will be able to teach K-3.
I've decided for my blog that I will talk about infants and toddlers. This blog with contain information, tips, and activities to do with young children.

hey Cassi, that's really cool that you've been able to have so much experience working with lots of kids at different places in such a short amount of time. I work with preschoolers now and I love them, too!

ReplyDeleteUnfortunate you had to come to Maine of all places from Bombay. I guess we all become accustomed to this dull place. (no offense to any Maine lifers)
It's great you found your niche and you enjoy working with those young age ranges.
I worked with youth for six years now, mostly during the summer, but a few years here and there with after school programs, via YMCAs. I was never great working with kids under 4, so props to you!
